What's the Best Way to Boost a Kickstarter?
Note: The above Boosting Method vs Effectiveness chart is based on my own direct experience Boosting a limited number of campaigns. Certain channels may be more or less effective for you.
More Boosting Tips
- Include Images - Emails, Updates, Blog Posts, Tweets, and Facebook posts get significantly more looks and clicks when they include an image. We've included a great selection of images you can use on this page below.
- The Fortune is in the Follow-up - Just like when running a Kickstarter campaign, your audience may need to be exposed to your Kickbooster link a couple of times, in a couple of different spots (Twitter, FB, email, etc.) before he or she takes action on it and clicks.
- Expected Conversion Rates - Decent Kickbooster conversion rates are around 3-4% (That 3 or 4 Referrals (backers) per 100 KickBooster link clicks.) 7-10% is great. Less than 1% probably means your audience is not a good fit for this project.
- Extra Incentives for Your Audience - Sometimes getting creative with offering a "bonus" for your audience to support a project through your Booster link is helpful. We're also willing to work with you to come up with something special for your audience, so if you have ideas, please let us know.
- Being a Backer - I've backed almost every project I've boosted, even if just at the dollar level. "I'm backing this project, and thought you might like it, too..." is a simple, but powerful message to your audience.
